The Russian River Challenge is on July 16th with registration starting at 7:00am.

Please take note of the start times because there are some old printable versions of registration floating around.

1 Mile Start is at 8:30am

500 Meter start is at 10:00am

Spring Lake Swims

Redwood Coast Masters is offering a 500 Meter and a 1 Mile Swim on May 21st 2011 starting at 9:00am. The 500 Meter is a great introduction to Open Water Swimming. Click on the attached link to register online at active.com.

Open Water Junior Lifeguard Camps 2011

The Sonoma County Regional Parks, Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks and the American Red Cross are joining together to offer 3 Junior Lifeguard Camps at Spring Lake during the Summer of 2011. The big news is the Environmental Junior Lifeguard Camp which is offered June 13th -June 17th. This camp will offer the same open water lifeguarding skills as the other camps, but will also focus on the environment, specifically around our open water swim areas. We are all incredibly excited about adding an additional camp and can’t wait to see you at the beach!

The Northwest Region hosted the Fall 2010 National Board of Directors Meeting in Portland Oregon during the first week of November.
